Daily Responsibilities
  • Support DPRI on all 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (1st MAW) related issues, requirements, and programs and serves as SME and advisor to the III MEF DPRI Director on matters pertaining to aviation facilities, training, and support requirements. Issues include: international agreements under DPRI, USMC training and operations, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) procedures, airfield development and management functions, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standards, real estate/community development strategy.
  • Provide the III MEF DPRI Director with assistance on planning, liaison and coordination between III MEF, 1st MAW, MARFORPAC, and MCIPAC on all activities involving the North Ramp Aviation Facilities on Guam, ACE HQ on Guam, 1st MAW HQ relocation, FRF, and MCAS Kaneohe Bay, aircraft and personnel relocation to include ATR in Japan and the CNMI.
  • Perform critical program review and analysis integrating the HQMC Annual Aviation Plan and DPRI initiatives across a broad spectrum of command relocation issues such as impacts aviation and the utilization of aircraft have on the surrounding environment and community
  • Support III MEF DPRI director and actively participates in meetings, conferences, and events relating to aviation programs in order to present DPRI priorities and interests during site visits, project planning, design, and construction from initial request to final acceptance and transfer of completed facilities to sponsors/host activities.

  • Minimum of 10+ Years; 2+ Years DPRI

  • Degree with a major in engineering, architecture, construction management, business or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Personnel must have demonstrated knowledge of Marine Corps aviation operations; squadron Command or Wing or higher-level staff planning or Civilian equivalent experience; completed the appropriate level Professional Military Education or Civilian equivalent. Shall have knowledge of the stand-up of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) or similar fielding of new aircraft variants in order to support facilities development at Andersen AFB, Guam. Two or more years of DPRI experience is desired
