Daily Responsibilities
|
- Research and recommend vaccines, treatments, and emergency prophylaxis response
- Maintaining the Air Force Medical Service Pandemic Influenza Plan
- Determine appropriate drugs/antidotes for use with chemical, radioactive, or other exposures
- Develop and maintain various epidemic/pandemic Plans
- Review and update pharmacological-related policies and directives
- Create training material for pharmacists & medical staff
- Researching, analyzing, documenting and recommending solutions to issues regarding medical response teams and the associated drugs
- Researching, analyzing and reviewing Air Force, multi-service, and mission essential tasks as related to the Pharmacy mission under CBRN.
- Working with different agencies both within the DoD and outside the DoD (i.e. Health and Human Services) determining and providing guidance on the Strategic National Stockpile requirements for the Air Force.
- Identify requirements and prepare supporting documents for upgrades and acquisition of material and non-material solutions as they pertain to Pharmacy Allowance Standard and assisting with the management of the pharmacy allowance standard (CBRN drugs and equipment) and response procedures.

Required: Years of Experience (min)
|
- Ten (10) years of pharmacy experience in inpatient/outpatient medical facility or in the federal health/public health care sector.
- Experience and trained in chemical & biological antidotes for mass casualty response in a public health environment or emergency management training in CBRN response.
- Must have a pharmacy background and a CBRN familiarity
