Daily Responsibilities
  • Provide support and updates for strategic planning, programming, and innovation of medical modernization requirements.
  • Build Health Services input to ACS strategic planning documents such as the Core Function Master Plan (CFMP), ACS CONOPS and sub-CONOPS.
  • Identify linkage between ACC/SG modernization programs and strategic guidance and vision documents, Combatant Commanders (COCOM) Integrated Priority Lists (IPL), Annual Planning and Programming Guidance (APPG), Medical Planning and Programming Guidance (MPPG), AFMS strategic planning documents and other guidance. Linkage will support the defense of LAF & AFMS POM submissions.
  • Build RDA documents required to support Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Surgeon General’s Requirements for Operational Capabilities Council (SGROCC) requirements. Document shall include Initial Capability Documents (ICD), Capability Development Documents (CDD), and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).
  • Support development, deliberation, and advocacy of ACC/SG AFMS and LAF modernization POMs.
  • Provide program development, management, innovation, oversight, and acquisition support through JCIDS processes.
  • Provide expertise for medical modernization project/programs and MTAs, including Joint Program Committees.
Required: Years of Experience (min)
  • Three years (within the last year) experience and working knowledge of the AFMS roles and responsibilities in the Agile Combat Support strategic planning processes.
  • Three years (within the last three years) experience and working knowledge of ACC/SG’s role in ACC ACS governance and corporate structure.
  • Three years (within the last year) experience and working knowledge of Agile Combat Support overarching strategic documents such as the CFMP, ACS CONOPS and the AFMS MTAs to include CBRN, EM, EC, and FHP.
  • Three years (within the last three years) experience with the PPBES to include the DoD appropriation and AF accounting structure.
  • Two (within the last two years) experience and detailed knowledge of ACC/SG modernization program element (PE) and three years’ experience in developing, presenting, and defending the ACC/SG LAF and AFMS POM input.
  • Possess at least two years’ experience interpreting and analyzing program data from MAJCOM Plans and Programs office and Air Staff and be able to provide recommendations on the impact to ACC/SG modernization programs.
  • Possess at least two years’ experience with the JCIDS construct.
  • Five years (within the last four years) experience and knowledge of the ACC/SG medical readiness operations and processes.
Required: Degree/Training
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Studies, Business, or Budgeting, or 10 years’ experience equivalent in one of the above areas.
  • Possess completion of Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Courses: Acquisition (ACQ) 101, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management, ACQ 201A, Intermediate Systems Acquisition, Continuous Learning: Acquisition and Management (CLM) 041, Capabilities Based Planning or Continuous Learning: Requirement (CLR) 250, Capabilities Based Assessment, and Requirement, Acquisition and Management (RQM) 110, Core Concepts for Requirements Management.
