Daily Responsibilities |
Lead engineering, administration, and continuous improvement of the Agency macOS endpoint environment, including JAMF Pro, Apple Business Manager, device enrollment, compliance, and configuration management.Design, build, maintain, and secure standardized macOS workstation images and baseline configurations supporting both on-site and remote/VDI users. Engineer and manage macOS application deployment, patching, version control, configuration compliance, and remediation of configuration drift using JAMF and approved enterprise management tools. Implement and maintain secure enrollment, provisioning, reassignment, decommissioning, and asset lifecycle processes for macOS devices, including FileVault recovery key management and device inventory integration.Configure and maintain macOS security controls, authentication mechanisms, certificate management, conditional access integrations, and hardware-backed credential solutions where appropriate. Ensure collection and forwarding of macOS endpoint telemetry, Unified Logs, EDR data, and audit information to enterprise monitoring and security platforms. Provide engineering support for escalated Service Desk issues involving macOS imaging, enrollment, patching, authentication, endpoint security, and remote access. Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, knowledge-transfer materials, and engineering recommendations supporting long-term sustainment and audit readiness. |

Demonstrated expertise administering and engineering Apple enterprise environments using JAMF Pro, Apple Business Manager, macOS device provisioning, and endpoint lifecycle management.Hands-on experience using Ivanti and/or KACE for OS and application patching. Experience designing and maintaining secure macOS workstation images, endpoint baselines, deployment workflows, validation processes, version control, and lifecycle management.Experience implementing and supporting macOS security technologies including FileVault, certificate-based authentication, passwordless authentication, hardware-backed credentials, and endpoint compliance enforcement. Experience managing macOS patching, software deployment, configuration management, compliance monitoring, and remediation of configuration drift. Experience configuring macOS logging, monitoring, telemetry, and integration with enterprise SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring platforms. Experience supporting federal or other highly regulated environments operating under formal change control, cybersecurity governance, audit, and documentation requirements. Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, Zero Trust principles, endpoint security best practices, device hardening, and federal cybersecurity standards. |
