- Serve as a SME supporting the Government Program Managers (GPM) for OEH tasks and responsibilities
- Recommend, develop, and coordinate new or revised policies, instructions, manuals, and technical documents to support Department of the Air Force level OEH programs
- Generate reports from information databases (i.e., Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System and eDASH) and analyze results to assist PM in assessing OEH program performance.
- Interpret policy and provide OEH advice to base-level units, MAJCOMs, and DHA as needed. Provide consultation on OEH issues for both in-garrison and deployed forces
- Review and assess the Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Agency, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute for Safety and Occupational Health, The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), and the National Academy of Science, proposed regulations, regulatory guides, notices, and bulletins for impact/relevance to DAF operations.
- Review reports, standards, and commentary from the American National Standards Institute, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, Unified Federal Code, American Society for Testing and Materials, and other organizations for impact/relevance to DAF operations. Maintain professional currency by reading technical literature and attending scientific meetings.
- Support the Air Force Medical Service and OEH Program Initiatives by preparing draft advocacy documentation for additional program procurement and operations funding
- Support managing OEH exposure inquiries and associated subtasks. This task requires communication with other AF, federal agencies, and veterans on health effects information related to the veteran’s potential exposure during their military service

- Previous experience working at a headquarters level of a military service.

- Experience in medical CBRN response and the National Incident Management System (NIMS), or OEH surveillance and Health Risk Assessment.
