Daily Responsibilities

  • Maintain, configure, and ensure security compliance for the operation of computer systems, servers and virtual environments. 
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by performing diagnostic testing. 
  • Document incidents and solutions appropriately. 
  • Perform backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection and disaster recovery. 
  • Incidents are resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles, as necessary to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the systems and applications.  
  • Assist architecture and engineering with evaluation, making recommendations and testing of infrastructure hardware and software products. 
  • Provide Support for management Enterprise tools. 
  • Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of infrastructure platforms 
  • Provide support of assigned DHA approved systems through troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software, and connectivity problems 
  • Maintain assigned systems including customization, configuration, installation, and testing 
  • Act as a knowledge expert for assigned DHA approved systems and distributed applications 
  • Collaborate with IT customers to ensure issues related to assigned systems are communicated appropriately 
  • Test DHA approved desktop images and validates all site components are operational with no negative impacts 
  • Perform all system backups and restoration operations in accordance with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) or other DoW/Federal requirements 
  • Install, configure, and support complex server-based systems 
  • Recommends and administers security and support policies 
  • Create complex scripts to assist with monitoring systems, diagnostics, problem correction and automating routine tasks 
  • Configure systems for high availability including strategies for back-up and recovery and load balancing 
  • Design, configure, and manage highly complex server and network infrastructure solutions, including virtualization and cloud-based systems.  
  • May lead in developing and enforcing system security policies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability configurations.  
  • Implement advanced automation scripts and orchestration tools to improve operational efficiency.  
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of critical system outages and performance issues.  
  • Coordinate with senior leadership on long-term IT strategy, capacity planning, and technology refresh initiatives.  
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior system administrators and IT staff.

    The Contractor shall provide a Monthly report with the information below: 
  • Emergency Situation Report (SITREP), information paper, After Action Report (AAR) update, graphic updates.   
  • Task Order Budget Summary (e.g., expenditures, budget details). 
  • Problems / Issues. 
  • Achievement of Performance Requirements (see TO PWS Section 7.2 Performance Metrics and Table 29). 
  • Help Desk ticket reports. 
    • Total tickets created.  
    • Total tickets supported.  
    • Number of tickets and type returned to Site for resolution/action. 
    • Time to resolution. 
  • Risks / Mitigations. 
  • Lessons Learned / Opportunities / Recommend Actions. 
  • Number of personnel billing the Government for services for each month (see TO PWS Section 1.11.1.3 and TO6 PWS Exhibit 2: Contractor Personnel List for Ektropy). 
  • A list of Contractor Personnel vacancies, to include vacancy period by FTE (see TO PWS 1.11.13 and Section 7.2 Performance Metrics, Performance Objective 5: 
    • Calculation and amount of expected invoice reduction for vacancies. 
    • Status of any Corrective Action Plans for addressing vacancies. 
    • Employee Compensation Plan to validate Contractor remains Compliant with minimum compensation at contract start and for any replacement FTEs thereafter. 
  • Status for the Customer Satisfaction Plan (i.e., monthly results illustrating how the plan is effective, and any proposed improvements to the plan moving forward (as defined in TO6 Instructions and Evaluation Criteria) in accordance with TO PWS Part 7, Deliverable 8 Weekly Briefing, Deliverable 4 
    The Contractor shall brief the local Task Manager weekly regarding: 
  • Status and progress of ongoing and new activities occurring over the course of the week that contributes to the Monthly Progress Report. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Required: Experience

  • CompTIA Security +, Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS), and  
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022 certified with five (5) years of practical experience in a production environment or at the discretion of the government based on excess work experience. 
  • Five (5) years or more experience in a major hospital supporting more than 100+ bed environment. 
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting military production systems. 
  • Ten (10) years of experience supporting Critical communication systems

  •  Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalency.

  • IAT II
  • CE

Required: Clearance 

  • No clearance needed. Applicant must obtain and maintain a favorable suitability adjudication.
