Daily Responsibilities
  • Developing and modifying enterprise-level policies and publications.
  • Review, update, and maintain House Information Resources policy and procedure documentation and make recommendations for updates or improvements.
  • Provide technical writing support that collaborates with House personnel to prepare and review documentation for internal and external customers as required.
  • Perform a review and analysis of existing policies; Identify policy gaps, dependencies, and propose draft policy or updates to address them.
  • Analyze and develop policies based on best practices to address areas or technologies as defined by the House.
  • Modernize any existing policies that may need an update based on the advancement of current technology.
  • Ensure consistency in guidance and terminology across all policies.
  • Work with HIR personnel to define policy guidelines.
  • Work with HIR staff to ensure written policies are integrated into existing systems where applicable.
  • Ensure quality assurance for all documentation, which may include new reports, responses to data calls, research papers, and other records as directed by Program Management leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: Years of Experience (min)
  • 5 years of experience in video production and editing
Required: Degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Required: Experience
  • Experience assessing and enhancing Enterprise policies and procedures in response to the regulatory requirements associated with Federal and International standards.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality documentation paying strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to grasp complex functional policy concepts and translate into structured text that is easy to understand.
  • Strong policy analysis and writing ability.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and writing enterprise level security policies for a Federal agency or largescale organization.
  • Understanding of a broad range of security best practices and current technology trends.
